RED profs has a wide range of products that enable every recess to be custom sealed. The products are ideal for creating fire-resistant seals in recesses for conduit, air duct and pipe penetrations, with or without transits, or combinations of these.
Fire resistance
The seals provide fire resistance of up to 120 minutes, depending on the structure and the application.
Test results
Almost all the systems supplied by RED profs are comprehensively tested in our own testing facility and by the leading European testing bodies, including TNO/Efectis. These tests are perform in accordance with the relevant European technical standards.
We can provide test reports and classification documents, depending on the structure and the area of application. Among the aspects tested are various types of surfaces (e.g. through walls, floors, light-weight partition walls) and transits (cables, metal pipes, plastic pipes, ventilation ducts). RED profs has the KOMO Attestation with Product Certificate K78063 or K78064 for these products. This attestation indicates that the products concerned have been assessed and approved in conformity with assessment guideline BRL2881 and meet the requirements of the Buildings Decree, provided they comply with the conditions set out in the certificate, including:
-production of building components (transits) in accordance with the specifications and/or processing methods set out in the Attestation with Product Certificate.
-compliance with the conditions of use described in the Attestation with Product Certificate.
Dutch test reports and classification documents are available on request.

Treated seals are both fire-resistant and smoke-proof.
The RPI-S Sealing system is a combination of the following products:
RPI-S Coating
RPI-S Filler
RPI-S Board
RPI-S Insulation sleeve
RPA-S Adhesive
RPI-P Fire collar and RPI-P Fire sleeve
The RPI-P Fire collar is designed to create a fire-resistant seal around plastic pipe penetrations quickly and effectively when exposed to heat. The RPI-P Fire collar expands very strongly when heated, sealing the penetration fast. The RPI-P Fire collar is used round plastic pipes (including PVC and PE) that penetrate fire partitions. The expanding property of the RPI-P Fire collar is triggered when exposed to fire and prevents the flames, hot smoke and gases from spreading to adjacent rooms. The RPI-P Fire sleeve is a sleeve which expands strongly with no appreciable pressure development when exposed to fire or radiant heat. The RPI-P Fire sleeve is used round plastic pipes (PVC and PE) that penetrate walls, floors and light-weight partition walls. The sleeve is fastened round the cable transit with an adhesive strip and then inserted into the seal. The foaming property of the RPI-P Fire sleeve is triggered when exposed to fire and prevents the flames, hot smoke and gases from spreading to other compartments.
The RPI-J Joint Seal is a smoke- and fire-resistant strip which expands strongly with no appreciable pressure development when exposed to fire or radiant heat. It can be used to produce a fire-resistant seal in cracks and joints. They are made of a fire-resistant material which expands strongly when exposed to fire. The RPI-J Joint Seal is designed for use with joint seals.
The RPS-T Firestop pillow can be used to create a fire-resistant seal in a recess. RPS-T Firestop pillows are designed for creating a temporary fire-resistant seal in conduit and pipe penetrations. RPS-T Firestop pillows are recommended for use in penetrations that are altered frequently.
The RPI-E Connection box stops are designed to make wall sockets and junction boxes fire-resistant. The RPI-E Connection box stops are ready-to-use, universal fire-resistant panels that can be used in as yet uninstalled junction boxes and sockets and inserted in existing ones.
RPI-D Intumescent/Door/Smoke Strips
RPI-D Strips are smoke- and fire-resistant strips which expand strongly with no appreciable pressure development when exposed to fire or radiant heat. It can be used to produce a fire-resistant seal in cracks. They are made of a fire-resistant material which expands strongly when exposed to fire. The RPI-D Strips are designed for use with doors, windows and moving parts.
